Polyoxy polyformaldehyde (POM) is also known as Saigang and Special Steel. It is synthesized from formaldehyde and other raw materials. POM-H (polyformaldehyde homopolymer) and POM-K (polyformaldehyde copolymer) are high density and high crystallinity thermoplastic engineering plastics. It has good physical, mechanical and chemical properties, especially excellent friction resistance. Polyformaldehyde is a linear polymer without side chain, high density and high crystallinity. It has excellent comprehensive properties. Polyformaldehyde is a hard and compact material with *ooth surface and luster. It is yellowish or white and can be used for a long time in the temperature range of - 40 - 100 degree C. Its wear resistance and self-lubrication are also superior to most engineering plastics. It also has good oil resistance and peroxide resistance. It is very acid-resistant, alkali-resistant and ultr*iolet radiation-resistant. POM is a crystalline plastic with *iou*elting point. Once the melting point is reached, the melt viscosity decreases rapidly. When the temperature exceeds a certain limit or the melt is heated too long, it will cause decom*ition. POM has good comprehensive properties, and is the hardest in thermoplastics. It is one of the most similar varieties of plastic materials to metal in mechanical properties. Its tensile strength, bending strength, fatigue strength, wear resistance and electrical properties are excellent. It can be used between - 40 degrees and 100 degrees for a long time. According to the structure of molecular chain, polyformaldehyde can be divided i* homopolymer and copolymer formaldehyde. The former has high density, crystallinity and melting point, but poor thermal stability, narrow processing temperature (10 degrees), and slightly low stability to acid and alkali. The latter has low density, crystallinity and melting point, but good thermal stability and is not easy to decom*e. Strong acid corrosion, poor weather resistance, poor adhesion, thermal decom*ition and softening temperature close, oxygen limiting index is *all. They are widely used in automotive industry, electronics, electrical appliance*echanical equipment and so on. It can also be used as water tap, with low friction coefficient and good geometric stability, especially suitable for makin*ears and bearings. Because of its high temperature resistance, it is also used in pipeline devices (pipeline valves, pump shells), lawn equipment and so on. POM product proces*onditi* drying treatment: If the material is stored in a dry environment, usually do not need drying treatment. Melting temperature: Homopolymer material 190 ~ 230 C, copolymer material 190 ~ 210 C. Temperature of die: 80 ~ 105 C. In order to reduce the shrinkage after forming, higher die temperature can be used. Injection pressure: 700 ~ 1200bar injecti*peed: medium or high injecti*peed. Runner and gate: Any type of gate can be used. If a tunnel gate is used, a shorter type is preferred. Homopolymer material is recommended to use hot nozzle runner. For copolymer materials, both internal heat runners and external heat runner*an be used. Chemical and Physical Properties of POM Polyformaldehyde: POM is a tough and elastic material with good creep resistance, geometric stability and impact resistance even at low temperatures. POM has both homopolymer and copolymer materials. Homopolymer materials h*e good ductility and fatigue strength, but they are not easy to process. Copolymer materials h*e good thermal stability, chemical stability and easy processing. Homopolymer materials and copolymer materials are crystalline materials and are not easy to absorb water. The high crystallinity of POM results in a high shrinkage rate of up to 2%~3.5%. There are different shrinkage rates for differe*einforced materials. POM is unique in that its toughness and hardness are close to metals, and its high temperature and wear resistance are excellent. It can be used as wear-resistant parts such as gears. It i*rystalline thermoplastics with *iou*elting poi*f 165-175 C, and its properties are the closest to metals. 聚甲醛学名聚氧化聚甲醛(简称POM) 又称赛钢、特钢。它是以甲醛等为原料聚合所得。POM-H(聚甲醛均聚物),POM-K(聚甲醛共聚物)是高密度、高结晶度的热塑性工程塑料。具有良好的物理、机械和化学性能,尤其是有优异的耐摩擦性能。   聚甲醛是一种没有没有侧链,高密度,高结晶性的线性聚合物,具有优异的综合性能。   聚甲醛是一种表面光滑,有光泽的硬而致密的材料,淡黄或白色,可在-40- 100°C温度范围内长期使用。它的*性和自润滑性也比绝大多数工程塑料优越,又有良好的耐油,耐过氧化物性能。很不耐酸,不耐强碱和不耐紫外线的辐射。应用范围 POM属结晶性塑料,熔点明显,一旦达到熔点,熔体粘度迅速下降。当温度超过一定限度或熔体受热时间过长,会引起分解。 POM具有较好的综合性能,在热塑性塑料中是坚硬的,是塑料材料中力学性能接近金属的品种之一,其*张强度、弯曲强度、耐*强度,*性和电性都十分优良,可在-40度--100度之间长期使用。   化学性质   按分子链结构不同,聚甲醛可分为均聚甲醛和共聚甲醛,前者密度、结晶度、熔点都高,但是热稳定性差,加工温度窄(10度),对酸堿的稳定性略低;后者密度、结晶度、熔点较低,但热稳定性好,不易分解,加工温度宽(50度)   不足之处在于:由受强酸腐蚀,耐侯差,粘合性差,热分解与软化温度接近,限氧指数小。它们广泛用于汽车工业,电子电器,机械设备等。还可以做水*、具有很低的摩擦系数和很好的几何稳定性,特别适合于制作齿轮和轴承。由于它还具有耐高温特性,因此还用于管道器件(管道阀门、泵壳体),草坪设备等。 POM产品   工艺条件   干燥处理:如果材料储存在干燥环境中,通常不需要干燥处理。   熔化温度:均聚物材料为190~230℃;共聚物材料为190~210℃。   模具温度:80~105℃。为了减小成型后收缩率可选用高一些的模具温度。   注射压力:700~1200bar  注射速度:中等或偏高的注射速度。   流道和浇口:可以使用任何类型的浇口。如果使用隧道形浇口,则好使用较短的类型。对于均聚物材料建议使用热注嘴流道。对于共聚物材料既可使用内部的热流道也可使用外部热流道。 POM 聚甲醛的化学和物理特性:  POM是一种坚韧有弹性的材料,即使在低温下仍有很好的*蠕变特性、几何稳定性和*冲击特性。POM既有均聚物材料也有共聚物材料。均聚物材料具有很好的延展强度、**强度,但不易于加工。共聚物材料有很好的热稳定性、化学稳定性并且易于加工。无论均聚物材料还是共聚物材料,都是结晶性材料并且不易吸收水分。POM的高结晶程度导致它有相当高的收缩率,可高达到2%~3.5%。对于各种不同的增强型材料有不同的收缩率。 POM与众不同的地方就是其韧性和硬度都比较接近金属,耐高温*性也比较****,可做齿轮等*件性质:为结晶性热可塑性塑料,具明显熔点165~175℃,性质接近金属,一般称其为塑钢 优点 1、具高机械强度和刚性2、高的*强度3、环境抵*性、耐*性佳4、耐反覆冲击性强5、广泛的使用温度范围(-40℃~120℃)6、良好的电气性质7、复原性良好8、具自已润滑性、*性良好9、尺寸安定性优 缺点 1、加工过程若长时间高温下易起热分解2、无自熄性3、*酸性差4、成形收缩率大 用途 电子电器:洗衣机、果汁机零件、定时器组件 汽车: 车把零件、电动窗零件 工业零件:机械零件、齿轮、把手、玩具、螺杆
